Child Support
Many of our clients are surprised to find that their obligation to financially support their minor children continues even after a divorce. But this obligation does not end, the only thing that changes is the amount that each party needs to contribute to support the child.
The amount of support is determined by statute, but our lawyers have experience and skill working to deviate from these statutory recommendations, when possible, to benefit our clients.
Spousal Support
Unlike child support, spousal support — sometimes called "alimony" — is judge-determined. The judge has complete discretion as to the final amount of support required, so strong advocacy is key.
