Sarah De Oliveira's Story
Our founding attorney, Sarah De Oliveira, was the first in her family to learn English. Her parents moved to the United States when she was young. Sarah regularly attended her parents' business meetings to translate and negotiate for them, and she had to take care of a lot of the complex details when things went wrong for them.
At a very young age, Sarah saw people trying to take advantage of her parents' inability to speak for themselves, and she saw a lot of injustice. This motivated her to become an attorney. She wanted to be the voice for people who couldn't speak for themselves in our complex system.
